1 Why we need protective gas for QCW laser head?

Protecting gas in laser welding is not simply about preventing oxidation.It directly determines the success or failure of welding from the beginning of energy transmission to the end of weld formation.If titanium alloy welding is not protected, the weld seam will turn blue and brittle, making it prone to cracking.When deep welding stainless steel, if the laser equipment does not use protective gas, it will cause a sudden decrease in penetration and incomplete welding.It can significantly reduce porosity and optimize shielding gas in aluminum alloy welding.In actual production, the most commonly used protective gases are argon (Ar), helium (He), and nitrogen (N ₂).

2 How to maximize the effect of protection gas for laser welding?
