YAG F-Theta Lens
F-theta lens enhances precision in YAG laser welding systems . By maintaining a flat field of focus across varying distances, the lens ensures that the laser beam remains sharp and focused throughout the entire working area. This is particularly important in welding applications where consistent heat distribution is crucial for achieving strong, high-quality welds.
Advantages of using the YAG field:
- Flat-field focusing lens dedicated to 1064nm wavelength laser.
- Making flat-field focusing. The focal plane of a conventional focusing lens is curved. It leads to larger light spots and reduced energy at the edges of the scanning area. However, the YAG field lens, “flattens” the focal plane, ensuring that any point within the entire scanning range is in focus.
- Ensure uniform spot. YAG welding system with f-theta lens can ensure a focused spot with uniform size. A consistent energy distribution can be obtained across the entire processing plane.
- Achieving high precision and low distortion. YAG field lenses can effectively compensate for the field curvature and distortion of the system. The whole laser system has a low distortion and high-precision focusing, ensuring the accuracy of the welding pattern.
F-theta lens enhance sthe performance of YAG laser welding systems, especilly the welding precision and welding clarity.
A YAG F-Theta lens, paired with a high-speed galvanometer mirror, enables millisecond-level instantaneous movement of the laser beam across the workpiece surface. The scanning speed can typically reach 7000mm/s. Compared with conventional laser spot welding, equipment that uses galvanometer scanning can increase production efficiency by 4 to 10 times. In certain precision spot-welding scenarios, the speed can even be increased by more than 8 times.
